We have some exciting news to share regarding the future of Oaklyn soccer.

OSC’s Board met with the members of Collingswood Travel Soccer Club and have reached an agreement to combine forces for the Fall 2023/Spring 2024 seasons and beyond. The new club will be called the Collingswood Oaklyn Soccer Club (COSC). This brings the club back full circle to its beginnings. This will also help build relationships as the kids head to middle and high school with Collingswood. Oaklyn residents will have representation on the COSC board and will continue to be a voice for the kids of Oaklyn, but now with the benefits of a larger club.

We plan to keep our current travel teams together in the short-term, pending registration numbers. Joining forces with Collingswood will open the player pool to offer more age-appropriate teams and possibly allow multiple teams within age groups. Combining our clubs will allow for more space for practices and games by utilizing both field facilities. Coaches will be reaching out to their respective teams.

Oaklyn will continue to operate our recreation soccer program for our younger players aged 3-7 at our Oaklyn Public School. We will continue talks with the Collingswood recreation soccer program and could possibly combine in the future to be a feeder program for the newly formed travel club.

So what’s next? Information about registration for COSC will come out in the next couple weeks. If you are not currently part of a travel soccer team in either Oaklyn or Collingswood and would like to play travel soccer, tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, May 13th in Knights Park. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Once teams are selected, registration will begin.

Oaklyn Rec Soccer registration will begin in late May for younger players. Look for more information in the coming weeks regarding Oaklyn Rec.
